5 Years?
A 6700XT is the best buy right now for about $320 HOWEVER it won't hold you down at 1440p for the next 5 years.

You'll have to go top dog for that kind of future proofing @ 1440p without needing to worrying about upgrading. I'm talking 7900XT, 4080, 7900XTX, or 4090.

The 7900XT at $725 would be the best buy. But it's certainly borderline for lasting 5 years. If RT is important to you, then 4080 ~$1000-$1100 is your choice without a doubt.
So it is a waste to go for a 7900xt considering i mainly play WoW and diablo?

I can't make any promises. WoW is constantly updating their engine & geometry models even though it is ancient by this point. It might be the same in the 5 years, or they may do full path ray tracing similar to Portal RTX, or Cyberpunk. Hard to say. WoW doesn't really push GPU graphics per say. It's more CPU limited. Which means there is room to grow on the GPU side.

Diablo can run on a potato.

I will say the Bounding box sorting and traversal in hardware in AMD's next gen is an important step. When I futzed with the internals of POVRay bounding box computation was huge time waster. But if I know NVIDIA they will still be a step ahead.

diablo 4? anyways Could you have a look at my system i posted and consider i play mostly WoW and like to on 1440p , raiding etc , buying a 7900xt is overkill in your opinion?

sadly i already have the case 🙁
If you go with the 7900XT you can always get the Sapphire Pulse.
PCPartPicker Part List

Video Card: Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XT 20 GB Video Card (€898.90 @ Azerty)
Total: €898.90
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

That is a 313mm card so it will just fit into your case with the radiator installed. It also quieter than the standard 7900XT and in theory you should be able to down clock it to reference to reduce the little added heat.

almost 70 euro more 🙁 , taichi or phantom are good? no way tuf gaming fits my case i suppose?

Have you also got the AIO cooler?

like i said in my post above, the AIO can be mounted in the front in the P300A. and that would leave space for GPU upto 320 to 330mm in length depending on radiator thickness.

the Taichi is 345mm, so nope. not gonna fit. the phantom is 330mm

P300A - 355mm max GPU with front fans. the radiators on that CM AIO is 27.5mm so nope. Not gonna fit.

Diablo 4 says for Ultra4k the recommended GPUs are RTX 3080 or Radeon 6800XT. That will be 4k Ultra settings at 60fps. If you move that down to 1440p the FPS will probably jump to close to 100. The 6950XT is 10-15% faster than the 6800XT. The only problem comes in finding one that will fit into your case. The ASRock is 330mm and they get more expensive after that.

Ok makes sense , I had opportunity to get asrock phantom 6950xt for 649 euro but hesitated and now its out of stock , XFX is the other option.

7900xt tuf gaming seem huge, 353mm? would it even fit my case?
Well, if you regret missing the RX 6950 XT for €649, perhaps you might like this:
XFX Radeon RX 6950 XT MERC 319 Black 16GB - €638

Now, I don't know what country that you're in, but you're using Euros and Germany is pretty close to the middle of Europe so I used Germany. If you're not in Germany, I would need to know what your country is in order to make a more accurate recommendation.

That is actually pretty good price , Still giving myself a day to think over if i want 7900xt or 6950 is enough!

I am from belgium.

I did a very similar build as Lucky_SLS just going with a different case and PSU. It is sad that it looks like one cannot get the RMx Shift in Belgium at the moment. However, the RMe is an ATX 3.0 PSU so that is a bonus. With the recent changes to 12VHWPR cable it is hard to recommend the Seasonic Vertex (I have one and it has been great so far) but it has the previous design for the high power cable. Therefore it won't have the extra protections that are being made for the newest version due to cables melting on the 4090.

The Fractal Design North is a very good case and stylish to boot.
