Hi guys, I'm looking for some help for my very first PC build. Not an expert here. Coming from a 2013 21,5" iMac, I need a big upgrade for my workstation.

My Amazon basket contains:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
MoBo: Asus ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO Wi-Fi
SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 250GB
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB DDR4 3200MHz
Monitor: BenQ BL2711U

I'm looking for a good GPU for my monitor and my professional Photoshop use. I don't do video editing nor games, but I work with pretty big PSB files (5-10 GB each, sometimes 2 or 3 opened together at the same time) for retouching and compositing. I always work in 16-bit color depth, and it slows my iMac down tremendously. Working is becoming a nightmare.

What would you suggest? There's so much info on the internet, but it's mostly about 4K gaming or video editing, and I don't do neither of those. Should I look for more RAM instead rather than a good GPU?

Thank you so much! :)

You dont need much gpu for a 2d program like photoshop. A 2080ti is only 8% faster than a 1060 in photoshop according to peuget systems.https://www.pugetsystems.com/recommended/Recommended-Systems-for-Adobe-Photoshop-CC-139/Hardware-Recommendations
Id get a 1060 6gb for about $175.
You can get an rtx 2060 in budget if you need more gpu for 3d rendering in other programs.
