I have a AMD R7 360 2GB that is hitting 99°C for a second or two while playing heavy requirements games. Is my pc at risk? I only play for an hour or two like 4 days a week. I tried lowering graphics but it didn't do much. After going to 99°C it lowers to 90, then goes slowly up to 99 again. I would say that it happens 1 time every 15 minutes.

You mean it spikes to 99C?

- Since when you started having/noticing this issue?
- Is case airflow good, or is it very restrictive?
- What are your temps while the PC has been sitting idle for sometime?
- Are the GPU fans maxing out while gaming at those temps?
- What is the GPU utilization while playing?

Max "safe" ish temp is 94C. I recommend nothing above 85C for that card though.

Yeah that's getting too hot.

Maybe try replacing the thermal paste? That GPU is old and so you might see a difference in temperature afterward.

I noticed about it after I installed it on my pc, It was a old barely used Graphics card that I had on it's box
Airflow is average? The old case that i have has a fan on the top, back and a hole where there should be a Disk reader haha, so it should be alright.
On idle it is 45-50 °C
GPU is 100% while playing and my cpu does not have an integrated graphics card, so I assume it is being in use at all times.
I don't know how to check the fan speed, the radeon app says 0% because it is bugged out, I can see the fan spinning.

I had it changed, but it stayed like this

Is your CPU also one that came out at around the time of that card or is it newer?

Newer CPU could be handling it like a champ while the GPU is being pushed to the max. (?)

it is a i5-3330
I tried using MSI Afterburner and have my brother play some games. After tounching a bit the curve, making it go to 100% fan speed if it hits 75°C made it a bit better, after 15 minutes of playing it got to 92C only. So maybe it was that? idk.

That is still quite high though.
