Im wondering if i can upgrade my Gpu in my HP pc from 2014. The pc is called Envy pheonix 810-201no http://tinyurl.com/j2wyom3 . Do i need to update bios or is it just to plug it in and play?
No, I don't recommend adding more case fans as I'm not sure there are locations to install them and they do draw more power from the power supply. The only way to make sure your card physically fits is to measure the distance from the rear of the case, along the PCI-Ex16 slot to the first obstruction (typically a drive bay) and make sure the card length is less than that.
You should not need to update the BIOS, but depending on the card you intend to install, you may need a better power supply.

Yeah, i want the evga gtx 1070 superclocked. Think i read somewhere that the 770 and the gtx 1070 were about the same dimrnsions. And do you reccomend adding more fans to the case?
