Hello, I am a computer newbie.
I heard I have to plug my monitor into my GTX 960 for the best performance right? And not the mobo.
Well my question is: How can I get which is the mobo and which is the gpu port? Is the gpu's one upper than the mobo's?

Solution
If you have a standard case then it will look something like this.

If you want to be 100% take a picture and show us like the user above suggested.
As the guy above posted a pic of, the add-in cards (video card, sound card, network card, etc.) are in the horizontal PCIe slots below the vertical motherboard slots at the top. Also, just FYI, if you have a dedicated graphics card which you do, the motherboard video out display port will be disabled by default.
