Hello everyone,

As i was playing my computer suddenly froze so i hat to shut it down. After the shut down my monitor have been showing no signal. I tried unplugging everything and plugging it in and found out that GPU may be the problem. When GPU is inside the computer everything is spinning, gpu fans are spinning, cpu fan is spinning but i get no signal. Without GPU PC boots up and works just fine.

I have clean uninstalled GPU drivers then went to BIOS to set my primary graphics as internal, i have plugged GPU back in to see if its being recognized. And it actually is . So i kept GPU plugged in and tried to install newest drivers. In the middle of the installation pc shows BSOD saying something about atikmdag.sys.

Is it possible my GPU is dead?

Estimable
My shop has around a half dozen or so dead or malfunctioning 200 series cards. Blackscreens, bluescreens, fan issues, artifacts sometimes... If older drivers don't help I would try the card in another machine to make sure it's the card. If it crashes in another machine, the card needs to be replaced. The fact that it crashes as soon as the card has drivers loaded tells me that the card is the problem especially since you aren't even pushing the card or PSU playing a game or anything.
