hello ive been having problems with my pc for about 2 months now, newly built one.
MSI GeForce GTX 980 DirectX 12 GTX 980 GAMING 4G 4GB 256-Bit
Intel Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz
MSI MSI Gaming Z170A GAMING M5 LGA 1151 Intel Z170
CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM

this isnt my first thread on this computer. it has given me so much problems and i think this is the last. long story short GPU not showing up in bios if i try to plug in VGA cable on GPU i get no signal on monitor currently plugged into mother board. returned my GPU for a new one cuz i thought it was broken. my new GPU came in today and same thing is happening. It doesnt show in the bios that my GPU is connected to the motherboard. i did some research and the PEG(PCI express graphics) was auto enable from the beginning and was never on the IGD(intergrated graphics). ive also tried download the lastest driver but NIVIDIA will say that i dont have a NIVIDIAs GPU. so what do i do now did i miss something in the bios. GTX980 has two PCI power cable slots but i only plugged in one, or should plug in both would it even make a difference? i just need my motherboard connected to my GPU. took 1 month for the GPU to come in and im losing patients, please help anyone🙁
ill try to come back to your comments asap

Please don't hijack another thread
and to answer your question. see the cable the at the back of the monitor, one go to the power outlet, the other need to connect to a video out. it is connect to the motherboard video out, it using the iGPU, if it connect to your gpu, then it using the gpu.

I don't hijack,im sorry. All cables connect like it should, all good.If i connect to motherboard, screen is ok.But if i disconnect from motherboard and iGPU,and connect to GPU,screen show nothing,no signal like it not powered on.I use VGA monitor, and using DVI adapter,DVI to VGA,tried 3 different adapters for that and all same,no signal with monitor.
