Question GPU Issue:Monitor Articfacts

So on 4/16/20, I updated my graphics drivers for my MSI GTX 1080 to the 4/15/20 drivers. I began to experience monitor artifacts on both my monitors over the next few days. I tried rollbacking the drivers for each of the previous two updates and it still did not work. I did some research and I know it may be my graphics card dying, but I am trying to avoid replacing it if possible. So I found online that I should try replacing my GPU power cable, and I did, and it worked for a week then last night the artifacts came back. I used both my monitors on my laptop, and got no artifacts. I am running out of ideas, any suggestions??

My system was built in late 2016, so it is around 3.5 years old (ofc its just out of warranty)
Specs-
i7-6700k
H100i v2 cooler
Asus Maximus VIII Hero ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
EVGA SuperSC 16GB DDR2-2400 RAM
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X Graphics Card
Corsair CSM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Download MSI afterburner and see if you can downclock it will remove it but if your gpu is dying then its going to get worst and you will need to replace it!

I used afterburner to downclock it to the most basic settings already, and it still happened

What about the temps while playing it but anyway looks like you need new GPU because if you tried that and did not work dont think there be another way looks like its time up for it

The highest it reaches is 70-71C
