[SOLVED] GPU lost it's OC potential after re-paste

Hello, i own an EVGA 1080ti Black gpu. I could apply a light OC to it, around 85 on core and over 700 on memory (although i keep it around 200 for everyday use). The last few days i noticed that the temps were ramping a bit higher than usual, reaching even 80c on some games. Normally it stayed below 70c. So i unplugged everything, took the cooler apart, cleaned te dye and applied some MX2 (the best i could find at that moment). I didn't do anything with the heat pads other than picking some dust. After reassembling it, i noticed that temps were greatly reduced (65c on Heaven), BUT the GPU could not sustain the OC i had, crashing any game after a few minutes. If I lower the OC to 50, it works as it should.
Have i messed up my GPU?

I really much doubt it maybe check if theres not any paste leakage on your board and try edit the frequency curve that might help
