GPU normal temperature?

When I launch dota 2 the GPU temperature goes up to 83C.

When I'm not gaming its usually 50-60C

should I be concerned about this?
PC Specs:
CPU: Intel i7-2600K 3.40GHz
GPU: GTX 580 1.5gb vram
16GB RAM

If its not bowler its really hot. What kind of cooler yours gpu have? Try turn on v-sync in game, when u do that gpu load will go down and temps will down little bit too(in most cases if u have much over 60fps and 60hz monitor and etc.), changing thermal compound on gpu or ramping up fan speed can help too.

That was a hot gpu, I think that's a fairly normal temperature for 100% load. GPU's have become far more efficient over the generations and run cooler than they used top.

Still worth changing the thermal paste on such an old gpu.
