GPU not being utilised.

So i was allowing my little brother to play minecraft on my msi ge60 2pe apache pro laptop but the only thing that was being utilised was the graphics on the cpu. Is there a way i can manually engage the graphics card?

Go to display options, in the nVidia control panel you can set it to use the dedicated video card for everything.
