[SOLVED] GPU not detected

Hi.

I have a bit of a problem with the video card im trying to install on my computer.
It is a samsung magic station, and the card im trying to install is a gts450.
The card even with the 6pin connector plugged in and the card into the pcie slot it does not get detected by the computer..

Ive heard that the issue may be my psu not giving enough wattage (but ive used a more power hungry gts250 before which worked fine) or it could be an outdated bios.. (the motherboard is a lga 775 board for a pentium d processor, really old)

but these are just my guesses..

what could the problem be?

I would say do to the age of the board , there's no BIOS to recognize the card.
