GPU not reaching its 100% potential

Hi guys, i have gtx 780 and i5-3570k with a h61-s2p motherboard, now the problem is while playing watch dogs my gpu and cpu are not working to their full potential i saw that using msi afterburner and when gpu work load drops the frames gets literally stuc k for around 1-2 seconds. This has started happening recently, I Think this is a bottleneck issue, please help me out guys. Thankyou

Cpu is i5-3570k and ram is corsair vengeance 6 gb

Cpu is i5-3570k and ram is corsair vengeance 6 gb

Hm yeah bottleneck the 780 best ram match is 12 gb also the cpu for it is i7 4th gen so yeah your cpu isn't able to pull all of the gpu's potential

6Gb of ram will rarely matter as long as you don't load a bunch of apps at once. The fact that it comes in spikes that last 1-2 seconds makes me wonder if there isn't an app that is stealing resources, like a virus scanner or virus. It could also be temps of your CPU or GPU that might cause that. Look at your temps, and post the actual usage.

There is 0 difference between 6Gb and 12Gb in performance, unless you manage to run out of RAM.

Temps never surpass 60 degree celcius on each core and the gpu temp is around 70 degree celcius

how about other games? Do they run fine?

Watch dogs has some issues with vram usage (among others), so maybe it is maxing out the cards vram and swapping to system ram when these hicups occur.

edit afterburner can show the vram usage as well, tick it in the settings and see how full it gets.

VRAM is well under 2700mb and my specs are same as this guy here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NK0pqoCOIco
