Gpu not running at full potential and gpu and cpu drop to 10% usage or less during games

While playing any game no matter if it’s 10 years old or if it’s a newer game my cpu and gpu have massive drops down to 10% or less usage from 60 or 70%. Sometimes it freezes my games, and the drops happen every couple of seconds. When it happens I have really bad frame drops, and I don’t think my gpu is running at it’s full potential either because fortnite is barely even playable on lower settings, I’ll get like 40 frames on really low settings with 1600x900 resolution.

My PSU is brand new and that fixed the problem with my pc shutting down while playing games.

My specs:

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB GDDR5

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8100 Eight Core-processor

Motherboard: ASRock 960GM-GS3 FX

8GB RAM

PSU: EVGA 500 watt bronze

I am having a similar problem where my computer restarts itself when I am playing any video game, and you said you fixed it by replacing the power supply?

What are your power settings set to? If not set to high performance then you have parked cpu cores

Yes a bad power supply can cause restarting
