Earlier today I wiped my SSD and reinstalled Windows. After downloading all the Windows updates I got Geforce experience and it says "driver not available" and after some looking around I found my GPU isn't showing up in the device manager. I didn't touch anything except putting in a Windows CD so I'm pretty sure it didn't get unplugged. Anyone know what I messed up this time?

Is this an old GPU? The latest NVIDIA software may not support it. You may have to find drivers manually on the NVIDIA web page.
It's an RTX2060. Everything was going good this morning but my SSD was full of crap from the last 2 years so I did a fresh install of Windows. After installing Windows and downloading all the drivers my GPU won't show up now

So the display is working via display port cable through the GPU but it says Microsoft display driver. In one of the settings I found where it says it's an Nvidia GPU with 8gb video memory available but 0 active. I'm super con

Somehow the problem is fixed. There was 1 Windows update that wouldn't install, it would hang up on 90% for several hours forcing me to power cycle the PC. About 36 hours after doing a fresh install of Windows I got a prompt that Windows updates were ready to install and after that it would let me download the drivers for NVIDIA. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it was right after I purchased a new mobo and an R9 3900x. The system was outdated anyway I guess
