Hi guys,
I have a problem with my ASUS R7 260x. After I replaced my old mobo (that didn't want to boot anymore) with a used MSI GF615M-P33 V2 (socket FM3). The whole build is:
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 635
GPU: ASUS R7 260x 2GB OC
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: 1x500GB SATA II 7200RPM
The whole build was working fine on my old Mobo, but after replacing it the native resolution (1680x1050) of the used monitor isn't being showed. I even tried using a newer ASUS Monitor with a native resolution of 1920x1080, but it didn't show that resolution either. It shows other resolutions up to 1920x1200 but none of those I'm actually using...
I tried reintalling the OS, starting with win10, then win7 and after that even win8.1 and winXP, also with different drivers. Nothing helped. I even tried Linux, but that didn't help either. I also tried with an older GPU (ASUS HD 5450) and I can confirm that both cards, the HD5450 and the R7 260x worked on 1920x1080 in other computers.
I'd also like to add that all games on this PC (with the "new used" mobo) are working perfectly fine. I tried playing Overwatch on ultra settings and it worked with no problems on 50-60fps. So, the PC works, its just some native resolutions are not being shown....
The mobo itself has a PCIe x16 1.0 slot. Might that be the problem? Is it bottlenecking the GPU?
