Question Gpu performance degrades

Does you performance drop after usage(for gaming only) even if never overclocked,because my Rx 460 4gb gives 150 fps in fortnite(at 720p,low) and it drops under 60 in between and i have seen others running it better in 1080 p medium.
Cpu is i5 9400f ,ram 8 GB ddr4.

The "Chapter 2" update in October 2019 made Fortnite more graphically demanding than before, so you need to carefully consider the posting dates of other's stats.

Many questions we need answers to here:

• what does "in between" mean?
• What is the native resolution of your monitor?
• By setting to 720p - low, you're removing a LOT of work from the GPU, putting almost all the weight on the CPU. What happens to frame rates as you step up to medium, high?
• Go to Radeon Overlay settings and select the boxes to monitor GPU core frequency and temperature, then display Radeon Overlay (Ctrl+Shift+O if I remember correctly) and monitor whether GPU frequency is stable, whether it's ~1200MHz as expected. Are GPU temps < 80C?
• Is your 8GB of RAM a single stick, or two sticks?
• What motherboard do you have? If you have 2 sticks of RAM, have you verified with your mobo user manual that the sticks are in the appropriate slots to enable dual channel mode?
