GPU Performance Increase?

Hi Guys, I'm wodering if a GeForce GT 710 would speed up my computer, its a 64 bit intel core 2 duo e7300 with 4 gb of ddr2 ram, i really want to play some older titles and some low end games, will this new graphics card help? At the moment, i run onboard graphics (more specifically Intel express chipset)

I'm Not sure on the motherboard, but im almost certain its manafactured my foxconn

GT 710 is not a gaming graphics card. It will be no better than your onboard graphics.

Consider something more gaming oriented - GTX 750 TI for example.
If that's too expensive, then consider GT 730 GDDR5.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the problem is, im on an old motherboard and on a tight budget of 70 pounds, plus, gaming isn't the MAIN reason i want the card, i forgot to mention my onboard graphics im not joking, has 64 mb dedicated video ram. And i have ddr2 ram which adds to the slowness points. Furthermore, i have a microtower, so i'd need a medium passive cooled GPU (Also becuase i don't like loud computers).

And it has 1GB or 2GB of vram. Models with larger fan are quieter than with small fan.

Fun Fact: That was the model i was gonna buy after i did the research!
