So I have had this problem for a few months, maybe more. I have a laptop with a GT 540M(which is pretty bad),but i think the performance is barely better than my integrated card. I play Payday 2 on low settings, but I found this video, this guy has the same card as me but has similar, if not FPS than me on HIGH settings, which is ridiculous. Another game I played is Deus Ex:Human Revolution, i play on low settings I usually get around 10-30 FPS, but I found a site where it says you could get around 80 FPS with this card. I do not understand, please help.

A lot of factors could be why there is a difference.

A 540M really should not be much better than Integrated Graphics anyway.

What are the rest of your specs?

I would look at trustworthy performance reviews, instead of shoddy comparison sites. I doubt the display on your laptop is native 1080p, but what resolution are you running?

The CPU is an i5 2410M @ 2.30 GHz, 4GB of RAM, HDD:I have 230GB and 344GB. And I mostly run games at 800x600, sometimes 1024x768. I cannot go any higher, it would be downright unplayable. Anything else?

to be honest, seems about right

with a better CPU and overclock (payday 2 vid) it will perform better

plus, i wouldn't always trust YT videos on what frames they are 'claiming'

end of the day, unless they record with an FPS counter on screen, they could say what the like about FPS

Well your temps are much too high, resulting in your poor performance.

A cooling pad is a good idea, but if you have a bad thermal contact or tons of dust in the cooling system then it wont help much.

Do you have any recommendations for thermal paste? Or is any thermal paste fine, regardless of brands?

Arctic MX-4 is a great paste, inexpensive, good performance and doesnt require any curing time.

Youll want to check your laptop first though, as some use "thermal pads" instead:

Already did, checked it while cleaning it. Uses thermal paste. I hope this will work.
