Hi so when i got my new gtx 1060 i didn't have a correct power supply and obviously that is bad. But my friend who has been working with computers for years said that since i installed my GPU drivers while having the incorrect power supply my GPU woudint preform to its maximum preformence and wouid cause permanent damage to my PC but less than a week later i got the correct power supply and barely used when i had the incorrect one. So is it true?

Your friend is wrong, as long as the driver installed okay with the old PSU that's fine.

You certainly don't need to re-install any drivers just because you swapped the PSU, that's baloney.
