Hi everybody!

I just had a terrible accident, a dammed fittings** felt off my hands and landed just over my GPU. It's a GTX 660ti FTW 2GB.

Now the damage looks like something serious as the GPU doesnt work anymore, the fan blows but the GPU core doesnt seem to start or receive power. It doesnt even get hot.

The fittings* landed just right at the back of the GPU core, just where there are a couple of black squares, both of them are really damaged, doesnt seem to be another part broken.

This is the picture.

Is there any way to fix it? I dont think that EVGA, even though it the one of the best warranties out there will take it for warranty because its really clear that was a hit.

Please, give me some good news!

1. What is a fittin?
2. The one in the top right is definitely broken, the other one may still be functional. They seem to have a polarity mark on them so i believe they are SMT diodes but i can't find a good part number on them so swapping them will be difficult. I'd call EVGA first and find out their policy, if they won't take it then if you are good with a soldering iron you can try swapping them out. Make sure you get the polarity right.

Meant, Fittings!

They say 470 27DP1. Thats what I can read, also I got a friend that is good at soldering and he even has some stuff to do reflow and reballing of laptops. He told me that he can swap that thing, the problem is find one that work properly.

Also, I cant RMA the card, I'm not longer at USA so sending it back is pretty much impossible.
