Gpu power connector

I just ordered an rx 480 for my first pc and it comes with an 8 pin to dual 6 pin adapter. Should I use the two 6 pin pcie connectors and the adapter or plug the 6+2 pcie directly into the gpu

If you have a 6+2 coming from your PSU , USE IT , don't use adapters.

Always use the correct connector if your power supply has it. Avoid adapters when possible. So if your power supply has a 6+2 pin, and the card needs an 8 pin, use your 6+2 pin. That adapter is for people who don't have the 6+2 pin and are unwilling to buy the right power supply for the card.
