GPU/Processor Lag Help?

I have a Dell G3 which has a Intel Core i5 and a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti also the internet I'm playing on isn't the greatest, but its definitely good enough. Although I'm still lagging. I can run Ring Of Elysium just fine, but when I try to play Apex Legends or other slightly more demanding games I lag most of the time. Is it because my processor is too weak? GPU? Both? Any idea's would be helpful.

How much RAM do you have? With a 4GB GPU sometimes 8GB isn't enough. Background processes running with 8GB can cause this also.
