Hello everyone ,

I have problem with my gpu it's randomly crashing , it's not necessarily always crashing under load but sometimes crashes while im just watching youtube or something. Altough i think it's more prone to crash when under load sometimes it can crash with no load at all. So basically it's really inconsistent one day it crashes just watching video other day i can go 5 hours gaming with no problem.

It gives black screen but pc still works for example if video is open you can hear the voice it keeps playing. Sometimes it restore within 2 seconds (game or any app that uses gpu crashes and you get black screen but it recovers to desktop). If it doesnt i have to manually restart pc and it usually doesn't detect gpu at the first time , i get low resolution and when i look at device manager gpu is not detected. I restart again and again until it gets detected which usually takes 2-3 times but it does get fixed eventually.I had this problem like a year ago as well but it stopped happening so i ignored it for a year , now it started again and for worst. I tried reinstalling gpu driver , it didn't helped and i don't have overheating problem. I have no idea is my gpu defective or psu or something else ?

My system is really old gpu is 7 and rest is like 11y.old , im down to replace anything but gpu if possible because of the prices lol. From what i read most with simillar problems to me had psu problem but it provides 750W should be easily enough for old system like mine or can it still have problems ? 🆘

I tried funmark test couple of times (5 min) i got crashed 2 times and got black screen , both were right at the start. If it didn't crashed initially then it worked for 5 min without any problem, so maybe i have problem with spikes but idk im just guessing it did crashed during youtube as well so maybe not :(.

I know i asked bit too open question so i will give my gpu to friend next monday and have him test it on hes pc if it crashes or not. I'll post result in a week.

11 years? good grief. Replace that psu.

the symptoms you are experiencing are almost the same with my old pc that had a very old stock psu. It was fixed by getting a new psu. Things became so bad that time, the pc would do shut down, even if I only watched youtube (lol). Things went back to normal after psu replaced.

My friend used my gpu for a week without problems i got it back and played baldurs gate 3 for couple of days , didn't had any problems so far ,GPU works fine now and problem seems to be disappeared but 2 week ago it was crashing very often, just like year ago same problem occured and somehow disappeared.

I'll still replace the PSU since many things points to it , thanks for replies.

Edit: Again crashed today I'll see if new psu solves or not soon.

I bought new psu and its fixed Im writing last reply if anyone have same problem psu does it.

Also it looks like i made a mistake about my psu it's not" MWE 750W" but GX 750w . Im novice abou these stuff just googled it and wrote the one looked simillar , regardless it doesn't change much anyway.
