[SOLVED] GPU rendering. High core clock, or high core count CPU to support it?

Hello.
I will do 3D modelling and rendering on this computer. My GPU will do the rendering. Will I need a high core clock, or a high core count CPU to support it? Either TR 1920x or i7 9700k. Does having more CPU cores help with GPU rendering? Or should I try to get a high core clock CPU so that I can model well?

In Blender you choose your rendering device: CUDA, Open GL or CPU.

Cores on the CPU does not make the GPU render quicker. Though Blender 2.8 is supposed to support rendering using both the CPU and GPU. Haven't checked for a while (still using 2.79 here).

Be careful with CUDA for Blender and try to find as many trusted benchmarks as possible. In 2.79 I find my GTX 1070 ti cannot compete with my Ryzen 5 1600, despite all benchmarks suggesting the contrary.
