GPU Rendering Stress on CPU

If i set programs like sony vegas to GPU Render how does it stress the cpu?

That is a little vague since the degree of work load that you assign on Sony Vegas for rendering will dictate how much of your system's resources it'll consume for the task at hand. Yes CPU will be used as does the ram alongside the GPU. It's never a case where only the GPU's resources are being used.
