Hello. I just built a new pc but my GPU is not recognized in BIOS...and I do not know what else to try...any help is much appreciated. My GPU lights up and fans are spinning but the GPU does not show in BIOS so I am stuck. Here is my build:

Processor: AMD 3700x
Motherboard: ASUS TUF x570
GPU: MSI RX580 (will be replaced in near future)
Memory: 32gb 3600mhz
PSU: 650w
Storage: SN750 1TB

Here are the things I have tried so far:
  1. Updated BIOS (and it is UEFI)
  2. Made sure that the GPU is connected to PSU (tried 2 different cables)
  3. HDMI is connected to GPU, not motherboard
  4. I tried both PCIe slots (made sure that the card clicked and was fully inserted)
  5. I tried a different GPU from my other build, same issue encountered
  6. All other components are showing correctly in BIOS

What am I missing? Any ideas what else to try? Thank you.

Solution
reset the BIOS by jumper

your windows install media might be faulty or corrupt
try a different USB pen drive
use the media creation tool from Microsoft to create the bootable usb drive

I tried a brand new windows (store bought on USB) and I am having the same issue. So I’m thinking it must be something with hardware :/
