GPU stuck in PCIE slot [URGENT]

I tried removing my gpu from my mobo but forgot to open the little hatch first and now it's stuck.

I searched online on what to do but nothing works :/

Please let me know if you have any clue on what to do.

Can you not just move the little hatch then get it out?

The little hatch is stuck, it wont budge no matter how hard I push it

Push the GPU into the PCIE slot then push on the latch which should push the GPU partially out of the PCIE slot and you should be able to take it out. If the latch is broken you'll need to remove the rest of the latch to get it out.

A picture could help us give you better advice.

Post some pics of it using Imgur or something similar as it could help us help you better.

Without pics the best thing I could tell you is to break the latch off carefully with pliers without damaging the PCIE slot.

What is the exact model of motherboard?

Did you unscrew the GPU from the side of the case?

Yes, I unscrewed it. I also removed the monitor cable etc

Whenever I push it in I can hear a click but it doesnt go in all the way

And when you put a bit of pressure on the latch it isn't going down?

Yes it should line right up but with the GPU not sitting correctly in the PCIE slot (first imgur pic) it won't fit correctly.

The only thing that may work is using a pair of pliers and carefully wiggling the latch while simultaneously trying to remove the GPU. Just be careful not to break anything on the board (besides the latch) or the connections on the GPU as those aren't covered by the warranty and your GPU will turn into a expensive paper weight.

If you don't feel comfortable doing this then bring a to a local shop.

FYI, those latches are designed to break before anything else does. So if push comes to shove and you need to just force the card out, you shouldn't have to worry about anything else breaking.
