[SOLVED] GPU throttling before temp limit !!!!

hello,

i'm using a rtx 2080 ti and I i increased my temperature limit to 88° in msi afterburner. however when gaming or stress testing my GPU throttle at 78° causing FPS drops in game.

i already tried upgrading my drivers, reinstalling msi afterburner and with evga precision x1

help please !!!!!

yes to the maximum and voltage is increased too but when it's trottling the power usage goes from 120 to 90 under stress

You can increase your fan curve with MSI Afterburner to keep the temperature below 78c.
Also try removing a couple of PCI blanking plates near the GPU's fans to let more fresh air in.
Case exhaust fans help to especially around the GPU's own exhaust mesh to dissipate heat.
