GPU to *HDMI cable* TV - will there be any sound?

Hi, I'm wondering if I connect the GPU directly with the TV, using a HDMI cable, will I need to buy speakers separately, or it's going to detect and use the TV ones?

it depends ont he gpu, 99% of modern ones do have sound drivers!
