GPU Turns off and restarts PC when i open any intensive game

GPU Turns off and restarts PC when i open any intensive game.

This just started happening today my PC is 5+ Years old so i was kinda expecting this to happen at some point.

Specs :

CPU: Intel I5-3330
GPU: Nvidia GTX 970
Motherboard: Asrock B75 Pro3-m (I know its old)
Ram: 6GB DDR3
PSU: Corsair CX 750W

I used GPU-Z to log the temps when it crashed:

I've been looking on this forum for the last hour and seen alot of people with this problem, most suggestions are buying a new PSU, just looking for any infomation.

the 970 is not 5 years old? lol the CPU may be old but you have good components, only thing i would be worried about after 5 years is that motherboard, that being said it sounds like a heat issue, that or power, what temps do you get when you try to open a game? CPU and GPU temps please, use coretemp for CPU, MSI afterburner for GPU

GTX 970 is the only new thing i added which would of been around 2 years ago

CPU is at 43'c
GPU is at 54'c

Even at the time of shutting down? can u force it to shut down and watch temps up until it does? it seems like it may be your motherboard if you do not see a rise in temps, do you have another PSU you could try

Problem is when my GPU cuts out my screens go black so theres no way of me seeing temps after it cuts out, and no i dont have another PSU.

Update - Talked to Corsair Support and they took back my PSU and said it was faulty and gave me a deal on a new one got a Corsair 850 W 80 Plus Gold, PC now runs fine.

Nice. I about replied to it, but if it's a faulty PSU it's a faulty PSU. Good job on getting a great deal on there 850W PSU though.
