Hi guys, so recently I decided to update my gpu drivers for my 1060, however the nvidia installation failed as it was apparently, not compatible. Baring in mind, I was playing csgo at the time, my game suddently crashed ; my MSI Afterburner said my gpu had been disconnected ; Device Manager isnt showing any display adapter ; After a restart, all my drivers were uninstalled as I had been installing my newer drivers. I am still trying different solutions but I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. Some things I tried were; I tried to see if the gpu was hidden in device manager and ran a troubleshoot, but got no luck ; I also tried to push in my power cable and hdmi cable, yet nothing happened. I assume my pc is currently running on an intergrated gpu.
If anyone has any solutions, fixes or needs more information, lmk. Thanks

After a long 2 hours, I have indentified the issue. I have had my ssd full for ages and it turns out Im still using V. 1809 - The most corrupt, insecure and deminished version of windows. This version of windows was so bad that it is soon to be unsupported by microsoft. I genuinely have no idea how I used this for 1 and 1/2 years but I did. Ive updated my windows and have all the latest, I am 2 years behind on new microsoft features, however my pc is running smoothly than ever with more than 75 fps+ than the 1809 build. I am currently on 1908

Is your monitor connected to the integrated one? If so, connect it to 1060 and answer the following:
Upon pressing the power button, what is true?
  1. you can see the monitor turns to active (green LED or whatever you get when it gets active)
  2. you do see a BIOS splash on the screen
  3. you do see a windows loading screen
  4. you do see a desktop environment
  5. nothing of the above
