[SOLVED] GPU upgrade for Acer Aspire M3970 Desktop PC ?

Hi, i have an aspire m3970 and i want to upgrade my gpu. Is the rx 580 sapphire nitro compatible with my m3970 ? Because i googled and i read about bios or something. Sorry i'm new to pc, so i don't really know about this stuff.

What psu do you have?
Currently gpu prices are crazy expensive,so i wouls suggest waiting.

update the latest BIOS from the Acer support homepage if available

it is compatible regarding to this database, where it has been running successfully with various cards:

Most likely the PSU has to be updated as well, if the power cables are not there for the new card. Don´t use adapters!
for this card you will need one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCIe cable on the PSU.

and my psu is the 300w. was planning to get the aigo gp650

couldn´t find any review for the aigo PSU, get a better one

even 400W to 450W is fine, as long as it´s a good power supply with the appropriate connectors
corsair VS450 with grey label (not orange) should do

i can't get the rx580. it's sold out. but how is zotac gtx 650 ti . is it good ? can i play war thunder and gta v in medium resolution with it?

should work but it´s a low quality build. At least it has 5 years of warranty.
the gtx 650 ti is really old, I would get at least a GTX750 ti or RX560 or RX570 or GTX1050 /TI

i saw the link that you post . 1050 is compatible ? with my bios version ?
