Will a SAPPHIRE RADEON HD7950 WITH BOOST 3GB work good with my system?

How much would that graphics card cost?

Around $360

I see, know any other cards I should consider that would suit my system better?

Would a card like Gigabyte GV-R927XOC-2GD be more suiting to my cpu then?

Yes, that's the one I suggested, has really good bang for the buck. I strongly advice you to buy that one :)

I'll consider that one for sure, thanks! :)

you want to spend money on a new gpu but it will do you no good. your cpu (955) can't push the bigger card to make the difference worth the price you have top pay............... if you had a bigger cpu ( 8350 or an i5 ) either one would help get more performance out of that bigger card.

the system you have now is more or less well balanced.

the other guy (costa) wants you to buy the 7950 and then suggests after doing that.......... to also upgrade your cpu.

Okay so let's say I would buy a new cpu, which one should I get that will work with my motherboard or will I have to get a new motherboard aswell?

it says you can put the old 6cores ( 1090T, etc. ) but I had one of those and they aren't any better than the 955 unless you run programs that run well on the extra cores.

the options are an i5 quad core or an 8350 and new board.......... those would give you a real upgrade over your old cpu. the Intel more than the amd.

what ram are you running now. it says 2600 and something. doesn't sound right. I think you should just run what you have into the ground until it doesn't "play" well anymore. in the mean time save your money.............. or you could buy your new card (7950) and carry it over. but just buying the card is a waste.

If u cant buy gpu, mobo and cpu now then dont invest on anything now.

Lets say u buy a 7950 now(which will not give much improvement due to ur cpu) and then after 6 months or a year u buy new cpu+mobo then at that time there will be much better graphics card in the same $250 range. So its better to save money and buy all the gpu,cpu and mobo at one time.

hm I guess it's wiser to stick with my current system then. I don't really feel like spending money on a almost completly new system just to get more fps. Thanks for the help :)
