Well it shoudn't be a problem as i read the gt 1030 and most gpu's will run fine even if your motherboard doesn't support uefi and only legacy. (My motherboard supports legacy/Bios)

Some recent gpu's have dropped support for legacy bios- although that is down to the card manufacturer rather than the gpu itself. I think an entry level card like the 1030 is more likely to work on older bios as it's a good option for upgrading older machines like yours.

Firstly yes it is a big upgrade (see here for a comparison, ~ 500% faster):

Also no, you can run the 1030 entirely off the motherboard slot.

Note that there are a few faster slot powered options than the 1030, e.g. the GTX 1050 and RX 560 cards are also bus powered only and a fair bit faster than a 1030 (but also cost a bit more). There is a caveat with the graphics speed- it does depend somewhat on the rest of your hardware (if you have a very old cpu you may not get much more performance, would need to know rest of your system specs to comment on that).

Yeah i know bout the other gpu's but i'm on a very strict budget and most gpu's here in the netherlands are expensive as heck, and the gt 1030 is only 85 euro's. My system spec is as followed:

I3 530 cpu (2 cores 4 threads)
4gb ddr3 dual channel 1333mhz
1TB hdd 7200Rpm
350 watt psu
Original medion ms-7616 motherboard (forgot the name)
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit updated (and activated)

And i mostly play some older games but even games like left 4 dead 2 or fifa struggle a bit with the settings set to high / very high and even in far cry 1 i get some stutters which come when everything is maxed out, also setting aa in that game reduces the fps by alot so that's why i want to upgrade.

Hi, well the 1030 will be a good upgrade although the rest of your machine may still hold it back depending on the game. I would say the 4gb of memory is not much, I would look at increasing that to 8gb if you can. There is also a risk that a machine that old might not play nicely with a brand new gpu (some new gpu's will only work on motherboards with a UEFI bios). I'm not sure if there is an easy way to check that so might just have to test it when you get the card as long as the seller has a good returns policy.

Yes i'll be looking forword to upgrade too 8gb ram but firs i'll go for a better gpu :).
And i think it will work fine as one time i put a gt 710 into a very old windows xp pentium 4 machine.

Also judging by this site people run a Gtx 1050 ti on the same motherboard so a Gt 1030 should work.
