Question GPU Upgrade

Hello,

I come with a quick questions since i have some issues with my current GPU i wanna upgrade to a new one , this is my current build :

cpu : i5 6500
GPU : Asus Strix GeForce GTX 980 Oveclocked 4GB
16 GB RAM
PSU : 600 W
Case : DeepCool Kendomen

And i am looking to upgrade to a ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Turbo 11GB.

The question is , will this GPU would be okay with the curretn setup ? will i need to upgrade to a new PSU or a new Cpu ? is the airflow okay in my current case ?

What are your issues with your GTX 980? What games do you play? Depending on the game, the i5 6500 will severely hold back your 1080 Ti and even your GTX 980.

When the gpu goes from idle to full rotation speed one of the fans is making a weird noise ( the fan moves a bit up and down ) but when it reaches full speed or around 1-2 minutes the sound goes and the fan moves normally . and i am afraid that the fan might actually damage the gpu itself .

I mostly play PUBG , and yes my cpu usually goes on 80% Load when i play pubg , i will upgrade my cpu to an :
i7-7700 or i7-7700k , but after the gpu change i think.
