[SOLVED] GPU Usage drops

Hi everyone, I am new here and I need help. I have a problem with my GPU usage drops continuously from 97% to 94%, 91, 86, 80% it's very rare I see 98% or 99% or 100%

CPU: r5 3600 4400Mhz all cores
RAM: 2*8 3200Mhz (AMD XMP)
GPU: RTX 3060

on what game? what resolution? what detail settings?
what the cpu usage?

Horizon Zero Dawn 1080P maxed setting
CPU usage between 30 to 45

1080p is considered a lower-end resolution these days and the RTX 3060 should be able to easily handle most games at that resolution. Because of this, there may be situations in the game where the GPU doesn't have enough to do to go full ham.

As long as the performance is meeting or exceeding what you want, this isn't anything to worry about. Otherwise, you could try doing something like enabling DSR to have the game render at a higher resolution to make the GPU work harder.

the issue the game stuttering when the usage drop like it's go from 80fps and game freeze form a sec and go to 60 or 40 than come back to 80

When GPU usage drops, that is usually because the CPU is getting bogged down by something. Having to load stuff from HDD would be one of those possible things.

Most Steam and other launcher games can be moved around without too much hassle, the launcher will usually detect that location has changed and re-do first-time setup to fix it.

it worked, thanks. the GPU stuttering has gone. I didn't know that slow storage may cause GPU stuttering
