Gpu usage only at 60%

Yo, all of a sudden my gpu usage in Battlefield 1 never really goes above 60-65%? My cpu usage never goes above 75-80% but my gpu usage never goes higher than 60%. It's only happening in battlefield 1 and i've reinstalled the game but it still happens. Ive also reinstalled drivers.

It worked fine last time I played, I was getting like 100+fps at all times, now im getting around 60-70 max?

CPU: i7 4790k
GPU: MSI GTX 1080 GAMING X
Ram: 12gb

When you say 'My cpu usage never goes above 75-80%' - are you looking at CPU package or individual cores?

Just what it says on CMD, il go on it again and check individual cores

When ever you see a GPU usage problem, always check your individual CPU core usage.

This is because many games will max out 1 or 2 cores, and only put 20-40% strain on the rest. That makes the average look a lot lower and can be deceiving.

I had the same issue on Total War: Warhammer - low GPU usage and only 80% CPU usage. Turned out to be CPU Core 3 maxing out at 100%. Fixed it by disabling that core, then re-enabling it. It evened out the core usage and my FPS and GPU usage shot back up.
