GPU waterblock will it fit?

I'm trying to build my first custom cooling, so I've been searching around for components, but I may already made my first mistake..

I found on ebay a very cheap unused EK-FC770 GTX- Nickel GPU waterblock and had to decide quickly before the auction ended. But now I think i have misread the compatibility list:

I got a Asus GeForce GTX 770 DirectCU II OC(GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5)

I can see they got another waterblock that is listed compatible with my Asus:

So the one I bought on ebay will not fit on my Asus graphic card?

What about my MSI GeForce GTX 770 GAMING(N770 TF 2GD5) will it fit on it?

Not been able to find pictures of the MSI Twin Frozr GTX 770 PCB, but i did find some of the lightning:

So if the MSI Twin Frozr has a similar PCB then it looks like the chip and most screw holes is located the same place in the pictures found in the manual to the waterblock.

I have an EVGA GTX 770, but it is reference PCB, so the EK-FC770 fits (I actually have it in black).

However, the Asus is not reference PCB (I believe...) so the standard block won't fit it and why they had to make one for that card specifically.

According to www.configurator.ekwb.com, your MSI card is also non-reference PCB:

well I have put a GTX480 block on a GTX580 and a GTX580 block on a GTX780 I could do this because most of the holes matched up around the GPU itself, the rest of the holes on the cards did not match up at all, so I thermal epoxied the rest of the video card to the block.
please note that doing this will make it impossible to remove the block from the card.

Like you already noticed, the EK-FC770 won't fit your Asus GPU and will also not fit your MSI card.

So you're left with 2 options....

1) Resell the waterblock

2) Get a compatible GPU for the waterblock and resell your Asus or MSI card.

Thanks for the replies..

Think I will just try to resell the waterblock and then spend the money on upgrading my M-ATX motherboard. So I can get some more space between my 770's and hopefully get some better temperatures on the top card which atm. is suffocated by the second GTX770 and running ~90 degrees compared to the bottom cards ~56 degress in load..

I will then go full water loop, when I upgrade system next time..
