GPU without additional power supply

Hello,
I've just bought a MSI Geforce GTX 1050 ti 4G OC. When opening the box I've noticed the gpu does not require additional power. I was concerned that I've wasted my money, as I was under the impression all decent cards require additional power.
My question is this, can I still get good performance from a gpu that doesn't require additional power or should I send it back?
I was also looking at the Asus Strix Geforce GTX 1050 ti 4G along with the MSI gpu I mentioned above. The Strix however has an additional power supply requirement.

Pretty much all 1050Ti's are same except cooling. Card can go across 75W to around 100W but thats in case of overclocking extremly.
