Hi I have a graphic card GT 740 and it spins but it won't appear in the Device Manager settings and GPU Z.What should I do? Is this because of the BIOS settings?

The nvidia 700 series cards appeared about the time that bios transitioned from legacy to uefi support.
Your GT740 could require one or the other. Some cards had a switch to chose which.
You may have a legacy/uefi matching issue.
If your bios is uefi(looks nicely formatted vs. plain text) look for a legacy or compatibility mode option.

So the GPU requires Legacy boot?
I have AUTO LEGACY AND UEFI in BIOS
Auto has Legacy and UEFI
Which one should I pick?
I booted from an USB!

So I should try Legacy in BIOS MODE?

Different brands of GT740 may have either uefi or legacy needs.

Sounds like the auto option would pick the correct mode.

You can tell a uefi bios which will be nicely formatted and in color.
Older motherboards with bios size limited to 4k would be unformatted text and monochrome.

Slot 1: Low Profile, PCI Express 2.0 x16 (45w max)

Your GTX 740 says 38 watts I was wondering if that might be this issue but that looks fine. Do you have the tower or SFF ?

The tower is, Slot 1: half-length, full-height, PCI Express 2.0 x16 (75w max)

How are you viewing device manager through the GTX 740 to monitor or using motherboards graphics.

1)SFF
2)i'm using a windows 10 pro edition from a bootable USB.
Should I pick different settings in BIOS?
is my GPU not supported in Windows 10?

I apologize for leading you down the legacy/uefi path.
If the card was not detected, you would have never seen any display at all with your monitor connected to the GT740.
Have you installed the correct display drivers for your GT740?
Download them directly from Nvidia.
Careful, some drivers are for the laptop version of the gpu.

This is the only driver that appears in my PC.Should I reinstall Windows to 8 or 7?

Is your monitor plugged into the motherboard, or the GT740 card?
If plugged into the motherboard, it will use the integrated intel adapter.

If your monitor is plugged into the GT740 card, do you see any display?
If not, the card is not being detected.
The display comes from the integrated GPU and not my GPU .Should I reinstall Windows and Pick a lower version or should I install Ubuntu?

IDK you have not said if you have tried to plug your HDMI/ or DP or VGA cable from the GTX 740 to monitor. You have said your hooked up to motherboards video out.

For us to say how to fix we need to at least know if card sees bios or at least get to desktop. If your only getting black screen that helps as well knowing how to move you forward.
