Hi I have a graphic card GT 740 and it spins but it won't appear in the Device Manager settings and GPU Z.What should I do? Is this because of the BIOS settings?

Cool so did you get a black screen or did you get to windows. Was there any life coming from card.

Put it this way were you plugged into the GTX 740 while installing Windows. That at least proof of life. Does it mean card is fine and 100% no but something for us to go on.:)
I got the windows screen but the gpu graphic card was not detected by my PC.Should I try an older version of Windows 8 or 7?

Now do what was suggested by Unolocogringo and put your motherboard drivers on. Restart.

Than and only than go to Nvidia.com and MANUALLY get the GTX 740's drivers for your version of windows.

Down load them, when done go to that installer and right click and run as Administrator and try too install GPU driver.

There are 5 drivers for each Windows for the motherboard.
Should I downgrade to 7 or 8?
Should I also install drivers for the gpu for the Lenovo site?

Install all of the drivers for the operating system you are using. If windows 10 download and install them.
All of them including the Video drivers for your CPU the Intel 2500 drivers.
Get the 740 drivers from Nvidia.
Windows 7 or 8 are only for people who have older programs or games that will not run on windows 10.
They have not had security updates for years and should not be used on the internet.
