Hello.

So 15 days ago my motherboard was replaced (Maximus VI Hero) With a (VII Ranger).
So its off-the-shelf new.
Anyway, lets get on the issue.

So i was using my PC as usual, had to go somewhere and turned off the PC through normal procedures.

After I came back and turned my PC on.
my GPU will not give display.
Screen was idle/standby.

So i decided to reseat the GPU since VII Ranger have tighter slots.

Did all checked power cables and changed them.
Then I noticed
Whenever I plugged the GPU.
My motherboard goes into A2 state, But the PC works fine With iGPU.

Then I did a CMOS reset, still same.
Then I thought my Slot got bad.
So i dug through the old GPUs.

Found a Nvidia 7100GS, (it still works lol)
Plugged it in and my motherboard booted into PC with QCode A0.
I could not confirm through screen since my old GPU doesnt have an HDMI slot.
But i'm sure it was at the login screen since I had to wait 1 minute after pressing the power button for it to shut down.

What could be the issue?
Did my GPU just die out of nowhere? (within 3 hour)
Do note it was a MSI 280x 3GB (Bought on release date). Still under warranty though.

Bios are already on factory set tho.

Only got one stick and PC works fine without the R9 280x.

Onboard video or the 7100gs.

Currently on Intel HD 4600 Driver.

Decided to manually give another shot.

Changed bios setting manually to Gen1 and PCI slot to make sure its reading the Slot.

And well, PC went into A0 State now.
But no display.

You think its crapped out?

EDIT:
Just touched the heatsink of the GPU, Seems like it warms up.
I'm confused now.

UPDATE: I decided to give another go, But this time GPU plugged in but with the HDMI on the motherboard.
The PC Gave display. So i went ahead and change the PCI Slot again but to no avail, no display on the GPU.

Well, I think the GPU is officially a goner.

However, For people coming to this post in future.
Do note that If your PC goes into A2 state (Asus boards) along with BOOT_LED Lit up.
That means YOU ARE ON BIOS, even tho you can not see the screen due to the GPU being faulty.

Does not nessescerily mean you have an IDE detect failure (It can also occur due to other faulty On-board devices such as PCI ones).

Check your GPU in other PC, Same thing happens and your done for.

To the post: I would still like more input on the original post up there.
