Hi guys!
Title tells pretty much the whole story. Whenever I try to overclock my GPU's memory (980ti from Gigabyte) it keeps jumping back to -201Mhz on the sliders on any OC software no matter what value I set it to. It only happens with the memory. Core clock and everything else can be easily changed. I use MSI Afterburner and Nvidia Inspector. The problem first occured in EVGA Precision X but I uninstalled it and got myself Afterburner (because it was a hell to set up the fans lol). Nvidia INSP was actually used only to fix some AC Unity perfomance issues (lol) and wasn't used until a few days ago for overclocking until the broken memoryvalues came in. It will stay constantly on -201 on the sliders and it also performs in games with 201Mhz less on the graphs. Same happend when I overclocked the memory to +500Mhz and it would also stay there (which wasn't an issue really since it was stable) not letting me change it to any different value. The +500Mhz bug happend only once since then, the -201 happens constantly. Is it hardware related?

EDIT1: I already tried to uninstall the GPU's drivers and it helped for a while but started happening again after a few days.

I cannot use the stockspeed aswell! When I set it to default it sets everything back to normal except for the memory which will still be stuck at -201mhz on the slider.

Try reinstalling the software completely.

Already tried that not even once. Still not working.

Can you think of what caused it to get stuck like that? What led up to it?

The only thing I could think of is as I overclocked it once and looked for its limits. It froze at +150 to the core and I had to restart the computer. But after that I turned it down to +130 and it was very stable. I actually did have always 2 OC softwares running at once (OC Guru 2 - only to change the color of the lighting - and Precision X) but that started happening as I uninstalled all of this and got myself Afterburner only.

It came with Precision X, right?

The card came with nothing. The issues started as I uninstalled Precision X and OC Guru 2 and tried to overclock it with Afterburner.

Do you have a restore point on that machine?

I did a fresh installation of Windows 10 roughly a month and a half ago and it kept on happening a few days after the installation too.

Just use Precision X like before.

That was my idea too, but it just keeps on happening even with Precision X

Then it must be a hardware issue.
