Graphic card compatability and PSU upgrade

I have E8400 3.0GHZ processor with Intel DG41wv motherboard. I was gonna buy a HD6670 DDR5 1GB card which is PCIe 2.1. I'm gonna buy a higher PSU so no problems there its just that I don't know if 2.1 will work with my computer. please suggest a PSU for the configuration.
