Hello support,

i have 1151 (i7 3770K) intel processor, i just uppgraded to adobe cc, nag screen stated that my graphics card is not sufficient.
So, I bought a Radeon 580 rX.
Now my computer is overheating and shutting down-temp 175+. GPU fans configured.
I opened the case up and saw my cpu fan (stock) was stopping.
I plugged the fan into one of the chasis fan slots on MB(P8z77-vLK).

Temps Ok, but now fan is shorting with it plugged into chasis fan.

I could go and by a cooler but why if the problem is with the MB fan plug slots.

I was interested in thoughts on this.

Does this issue replicate when you remove the GPU?

How are you determining that the fan is "shorting plugged into chassis fan"?
If you short one of those fan headers it may have done damage to the motherboard.

What PSU is in this unit? Other system parameters might help.

TY,

corsair HX 850.
I can guarantee no damage occurred.
I determined by physically looking at the fan, it stopped and temp rose.
then pc fail.

I have never had this problem until I put in the GPU.
