Graphics card acting odd GTX 960 4GB

i just got a GTX 960 4GB like today, uninstalled my old drivers, shut down PC, popped out old car, popped in new card, booted up, installed the latest drivers, restarted again, opened up elite dangerous and started playing, and i am noticing some in-game glitches n the game even crashed once I will be alt-tabbed out of the game. I try and re-tab in, but it just doesn't let me. Right when this happens, my GPU temp his 0C. and my clock goes down to 404 from 1080

did i just get a bad card? or did i miss something ?

Have you try running benchmarks on the card like heaven or furmark?

Try running those, and testing it on other games. Also HWinfo wouldn't be a bad tool to download aswell.
