I am trying to find a graphics card to update a computer, but have no idea where to begin. Currently we have two monitors connected to this computer, one through the normal VGA slot and another through a DisplayPort (netiher of which is in an expansion slot). Now we have a TV that I need to add to this, to make 3 monitors total.

We currently do not have a graphics card, only the HP-installed Intel Q45/Q43 Chipset (which I assume is completely different than a graphics card). I have found a few cards I believe will work and say they support the model of PC we have, but do I need to make sure the Intel GPU is compatible with the new NVIDIA or ATI Radeon card? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

HP Compaq 6000 Pro SFF
Ram: 4GB
Graphics: Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset

Solution

Consider GTX 750Ti for this build.
Hi,

The new graphics card does not need to be "compatible" with the Intel integrated graphics. If you put in the new graphics card, just connect your VGA/DP cables to that card and everything should be ok.
