Graphics Card Confusion

GPU which I believe is the graphics card, MSI N740 - 4GB DDR3 PC I Express 3.0x16 (Is this good enough? After researching people said to look into the GTX 970, is that the best?)

Currently, I would say that the best graphics card on the market is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 TI. Some people would say that it's the Titan X, but the only real difference is that it has twelve gigabytes of video ram, which is completely useless because no games use that much vram.

Update: The EVGA Classified version is actually better, but not available currently.
