So as of the past few months, I've been having an issue with my computer and games, and figured I'd finally ask here. My computer will, seemingly at randomly, cut the screen to black, and make audio as if whatever I'm doing crashed. My keyboard and mouse will still be lit up like normal, and my computer will still be acting like it's processing the game I'm playing.

The only way to fix the problem is to completely turn off my computer, then turn it back on, as restarting doesn't fix it. It doesn't seem to be an overheating issue, my drivers are up to date as of today (it happened today as well, i verified all drivers were up to date.). I'm currently at a 100% loss of what to do or how to fix this issue.

My specs are as follows:

OS: Win10 64bit
CPU: AMD FX-8320
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 535MHz
MOBO: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. CROSSHAIR V FORMULA-Z (Socket 942)
GRAPHICS: 4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (MSI)
STORAGE: 931GB Seagate ST31000528AS (SATA)

Try running the card in power efficiency in radeon settings I have a rx 460 that keep going black it was something with the pci 2.0 not working with power demands form the card.
And what r9 200 are you using r9 290 280 270?

Solution
Are you sure it's not an overheating issu? The R9 290/x is a hot running GPU (I know as I've got one), have you monitored the temperature while in game?
